ORCHESTRE B4LIGH HAMD1 - L0VE ST0RY (1971?)

Here's a record of Eygptian mood-jazz from one of the country's greatest songwriters and composers. Psych-tinged easy listening. Off-kilter serialism, diversions into melodic reverie, a sound that manages to make the exotic exotic.

Dream it here...

  1. What a fantastic blog you have here! I love the way you work around the dreams and nightmares concept yet keep it loose at the same time. You have good taste and I'll definitely drop in again the grab some goodies - I just discovered it tonight. Off the top of my head here is some music that might fit your theme: La Monte Young - "The Melodic Version of The Second Dream of The High-Tension Line Stepdown Transformer from The Four Dreams of China", Robert Rich's all night sleep concerts, Lucia Hwong - "House Of Sleeping Beauties", Tangerine Dream, Suicide - "Dream Baby Dream", the 4 brilliant albums by Old & New Dreams (Don Cherry, Dewey Redman, Charlie Haden & Ed Blackwell), Annette Peacock -"X-Dreams", Spirit - "Twelve Dreams Of Dr. Sardonicus", Kevin Ayers - "The Confessions of Dr. Dream...".....that should keep you busy for a while. -Al E.
